These media converters allow you to keep pace with changing technology and integrate high-bandwidth devices into a network without changing the entire network infrastructure.
Allied Telesis media converters are available as standalone units as well as chassis-based blades, and the range includes units that are configurable to meet every requirement. Two examples of the range include: |

| AT-MC1004
This unit allows you to connect any managed / unmanaged 1000bps switch using RJ45 connectors to convert the signal to a 1000SX port cost effectively, and support a maximum operating distance of 550m.

AT-MC104XL
This range of Fast Ethernet media converters allows users to extend their UTP and fibre network using singlemode cable up to a distance of 40km, or 2km using multimode fibre. All units in this range have a ‘link’ test function, which can check for cable faults without the need for expensive fibre test equipment.
